A Municipal Chess Tournament took place in Hitrino on 26 April 2025, bringing together chess enthusiasts of all ages, including four children in a separate category. Gabritsa wind farm supported the event by providing the prizes. Company representatives attended and played chess with deputy mayor Ilhan Ahmed. The tournament was met with great interest and sportsmanship.
